Shane Trigg serves as president and chief executive officer of AppFolio, a leader in real estate technology. Since joining the company in 2020 and stepping into the CEO role in March 2023, Shane has steered AppFolio through a period of remarkable growth and cultural distinction. With more than 25 years of experience, Shane has held leadership roles in sales, marketing, product, engineering, and general management within publicly traded technology businesses. Before AppFolio, he served as senior vice president of both commerce cloud and marketing cloud for Salesforce. Prior to that, he was vice president of global sales and marketing at Intuit Real Estate Solutions (now MRI Software). Shane earned a B.S. from Ohio State University and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame.
Driven by the belief that business should be a force for good in the world, Shane is a steadfast supporter of Habitat for Humanity and numerous local charities throughout Santa Barbara. His personal mantra, “Better, Better, Never Best,” encapsulates his approach to lifelong learning, growth, and humility.
Originally from Ohio, Shane and his wife of 21 years, Megan, spent two decades in Chicago before relocating to Santa Barbara in 2021. They are the proud parents of three children – Jack, Luke, and Maeve – and two dogs, Milo and Millie. Outside of the office, the Triggs enjoy traveling, hiking, and cheering on the Chicago Cubs and Ohio State Buckeye football.
