Establish a Scholarship

Create and name a scholarship fund and support deserving students in the manner that fits your goals best through an annual scholarship fund or an endowed scholarship fund. Then, work with the Scholarship Foundation to establish preferred criteria for student recipients, such as a particular segment of students or field of study. Donate with confidence knowing the Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara does not charge an administrative fee to scholarship fund donors. The entire amount of your scholarship gift goes directly to students.

Annual Scholarship Funds

Annual Scholarship Funds come from individuals, families, businesses, foundations, and civic groups and are managed by The Scholarship Foundation. Starting at $4,000, donors establish a named scholarship and retain the flexibility to renew their gift each year.

Endowed Scholarship Funds

Endowed Scholarship Funds can be established from gifts of $100,000 or more, with the option to add to the fund at any time. The Scholarship Foundation then invests the principal and uses the earnings to provide scholarships in perpetuity. The Scholarship Foundation’s assets are invested as a whole, with return on investments credited pro-rata to each individual scholarship fund.
