This unique scholarship program is exclusive to students who have graduated or received a GED from Paso Robles High School in San Luis Obispo County. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Applicants must have graduated or will graduate or receive a GED from Paso Robles High School in San Luis Obispo County by June of the application year.
- Applicants must be planning to attend full time at an approved Title IV, four-year college and major in a physical or life science, engineering, mathematics, or education field. Education majors must be planning to teach in one of the other cited fields. If applicant/awardee circumstances change, they will be deemed ineligible.
- Applicant must demonstrate high academic standing (e.g., a GPA above a 3.5).
- Applicants must complete the Scholarship Foundation’s online application and submit all required materials by a deadline specified by SFSB.
- Prior year recipients must re-apply, provide verification of enrollment, and demonstrate adequate progress toward their declared major to remain eligible for a renewal award each year. Continuing college students should maintain a GPA above a 3.0.
To apply for the Chiado Trust Scholarship, please complete the Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara’s General Scholarship Application. The deadline to apply for aid during the 2025-26 academic year is February 19, 2025.
