We highly recommend that you submit your application at least one week before the program due date to ensure that you do not miss the deadline as a result of technical difficulties with your equipment/network or as a result of heavy traffic on the application website.

Special Employer Sponsored Scholarship Program

-  2017-2018 Application Available: October 1, 2016

***Eligible employees that ALSO meet the Scholarship Foundation General Eligibility requirements (including Santa Barbara residency and full-time enrollment) should complete the General Scholarship Program application instead of the Special Employer Sponsored Application and indicate their employment eligibility in the “Donor Match List” task. 

Special Programs for High School Seniors in the South County
*For current high school seniors enrolled in Carpinteria, Goleta, or Santa Barbara schools

-  2017-2018 Application Due: November 15, 2016

      • Art Competition Scholarship Program

In addition to meeting the General Eligibility Requirement, applicants must be high school seniors graduating by June 2017 from a Goleta, Santa Barbara, or Carpinteria school.  Applicants must be planning to major in art or an art-related major.  Art scholarship recipients will be selected from a showing of their art portfolio at a judged competition in January 2017.  Click here to read more about application requirements.  Financial need is not required.

      • Honors Scholarship Program

In addition to meeting the General Eligibility Requirement, applicants must be high school seniors graduating by June 2017 from a Goleta, Santa Barbara, or Carpinteria school.  Applicants must demonstrate a very high level of academic achievement (generally above a 4.2 weighted GPA and above-average SAT scores).  Click here to read more about application requirements.  Financial need is not required.

 Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians Heritage Scholarship Program

For verified lineal descendants* of the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians (SYBCI) 
-  2017-2018 Application Available: October 1, 2016
-  2017-2018 Application Deadline: January 2017
-  No late entries accepted.  2016-2017 Application CLOSED.

Eligible applicants must be verified lineal descendants of the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians planning to enroll full-time in a vocational school, community college, or four-year university in the 2016-2017 academic year.  Applicants must verify financial need by providing the 2016-2017 Student Aid Report (SAR) with the application.  Click here to read more about application requirements.  

*Eligible verified descendants that ALSO meet the Scholarship Foundation General Eligibility requirements (including Santa Barbara County residency and full-time enrollment) should complete the General Scholarship Program application instead of the SYBCI heritage application and indicate their lineage in the “Donor Match List” task.  If you did not attend high school in Santa Barbara County and did not earn your HS Diploma/GED from Santa Barbara County, you should only complete the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians Heritage Scholarship Program Application.

Santa Barbara City College Promise

Applicants eligible for the Santa Barbara City College Promise who indicate that they will be attending SBCC will not be funded. If you are not eligible and/or are not sure you’ll attend Santa Barbara City College, you will need to fill out our application to be eligible for our funding. We WILL fund third or fourth year SBCC students and transfer students after they have received the SBCC Promise.
