The South Coast Business & Technology Awards honors top individuals, organizations, and companies who have contributed to helping the South Coast of Santa Barbara County remain economically vibrant.

The Scholarship Foundation is the beneficiary of this event, and The South Coast Business & Technology Awards have provided nearly 500 scholarship awards totaling more than $1.1 million for local students majoring in business or technology related fields at Santa Barbara City College, UC Santa Barbara and Westmont College.
The South Coast Business & Technology Award categories are:
- Excellence in Service
- Entrepreneur of the Year
- Company of the Year
- Executive of the Year
- Pioneer Award (for lifetime achievement)
An independent Steering Committee composed of local executives leads the balloting and sponsorship of the event, while the details of the event planning are managed by the Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara. This event is the largest business networking event in Santa Barbara, drawing 700 guests and 95 corporate sponsors each year.
