History:
The South Coast Business and Technology Awards, founded in 1995, gathers and honors those individuals and companies who have shown an extraordinary commitment to helping the South Coast of Santa Barbara County stay economically vital by growing and expanding their business or technical professions.

The South Coast Business & Technology Awards is the biggest business networking event of the year in Santa Barbara, attracting 650 guests and more than 80 corporate sponsors.

Beneficiary:
The event is designed to recognize the achievements of outstanding business leaders while fostering ambitions of our young people through the support of scholarships for higher education.

The Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara provides an avenue for the administration of scholarship awards from funds raised through the event for local students attending UCSB, SBCC, and Westmont College. This event has provided more than 530 scholarship awards for local students majoring in business or technology related fields at these local institutions, totaling more than $1.2 million.
